Teaching history
ARCSR was founded and developed at London Metropolitan University, principally through the School of Art, Architecture and Design, with support from colleagues, students and The Projects Office. This page documents that teaching history and the work produced by students and staff. Course links are retained only where they provide an active archive or record.
ARCSR was represented within undergraduate, postgraduate and research-level study at the School of Art, Architecture and Design at London Metropolitan University. There were two undergraduate architecture studios - at second and third year, leading to the RIBA Part 1 professional qualification - and one postgraduate architecture unit - at fourth and fifth year, leading to the RIBA Part 2 professional qualification - specifically focused on ARCSR, together with research at MA and PhD levels in the subject area.
In addition, ARCSR ran an annual four-day, hands-on workshop at the Centre for Alternative Technology in Wales. The A Way of Building course was open to all.
